Warren Goetzel, director of Academic Technology and Engagement in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and director of External and Faculty Engagement for the Georgia Tech Center for 21st Century Universities (C21U), recently presented at the Learning Impact Conference, hosted annually by the 1EdTech Consortium. The member-based non-profit is comprised of leading educational providers, government organizations, and education technology suppliers who partner to improve digital teaching and learning. The conference was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 3-6.
Goetzel, who serves on the 1EdTech Higher Education Executive Council, presented "Advancing Together: A Guide for Higher Education on Engaging in the 1EdTech Community" and "The Great Data Lake: Perspectives in Leveraging Caliper at Scale.” He also co-presented "Building a Learning Analytics Coalition of the Willing."
Goetzel was appointed to his role with C21U last December and had previously collaborated with C21U on several digital learning initiatives, including the implementation of the campus Canvas Learning Management System. He currently co-chairs the Georgia Tech Educational Technology Steering Committee and the Affordable Degrees-at-Scale Symposium.
Goetzel joined Tech in 2017 as the founding senior manager of the OIT Digital Learning Team.
