Effective Tuesday, March 10, core services for the Office of Information Technology’s Architecture and Infrastructure (A&I) team can be accessed in the cloud in Georgia Tech’s ServiceNow® platform at https://services.gatech.edu.
These A&I core services include:
- Endpoint Management Platforms
- Data Centers
- Monitoring and Alert Management
- Enterprise Backups
- Servers
- Enterprise Storage
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Directory Services (AD, LDAP)
- Websites
- Financial Operations
Current email and portal access will be redirected for a period of time to ensure user access to services.
The onboarding of A&I core services into ServiceNow is the first of a series of OIT service management teams slated for onboarding. A Service Management Transformation Program has been formed within Digital Business to coordinate the application of IT service management methodology (ITSM) with the surge of service onboardings into the ServiceNow platform.
To date, Digital Business has onboarded Telephony Services, Coda Community Services, Coda End User Services and the support services for Workday and ERP processes. Support for the HCM Transformation is currently being developed in ServiceNow®. Projects are also in the pipeline to deliver IT Business Management (ITBM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes in ServiceNow.
Service team onboarding is organized into a series of cohorts beginning at 8-week intervals. OIT service management teams slated to onboard in the next three cohorts following A&I include Digital Learning, AV Services, Departmental Computing Support for Executives and The Administration, and Network Services.
