Hosted by OIT’s Cyber Security department, the Southeastern Cyber Cup is a national-level, higher education hackathon with the purpose of generating cybersecurity awareness. Competition participants will have an opportunity to showcase their skills, network with leaders in the field, and compete in the virtual ‘Capture the Flag’ competition, sponsored by Deloitte. Registration is open to employees and students across the University System of Georgia with an interest in cybersecurity and IT. Team registration for interested participants closes Sept. 17, 11:59 p.m. (ET). Non-event participants can register for an exclusive mini-session program. All events will be virtual.

Important Dates:

  • Team Registration Deadline: Sept. 17
  • Playoff Rounds: Sept. 19 and Sept. 26, noon to midnight (ET) - novice and experienced players
  • Final Round: Oct. 4, 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. (ET) - experienced players
  • Mini Sessions Program: Oct. 4
