All Georgia Tech students are provided access to the Office 365 suite of applications for use while they are enrolled. In addition, all students now have the option to utilize Office 365 for their official Georgia Tech email.
All Georgia Tech students are provided access to the Office 365 suite of applications for use while they are enrolled. In addition, all students now have the option to utilize Office 365 for their official Georgia Tech email.
Since 2019, all students have Office 365 mailboxes provisioned. This process happens automatically, and may take a few months after paying a deposit.
Once this process completes, you will receive a notification email to the address you used when applying, and you will be able to log in at mail.gatech.edu.
If you would rather use another email service for your Georgia Tech email, you can request to have "Store and Forward" enabled on your account. This will keep a copy of all incoming emails in your Office 365 mailbox, and forward another copy to another email address.

Please note that any Georgia Tech employee, including student employees, will not be eligible for Store and Forward.

Microsoft Outlook App
You can use the Microsoft Outlook app found in the Apple App Store and Google Play to manage your Georgia Tech email on your iOS or Android device. You can find instructions for Android here and iOS here.
Apple iOS Mail
Follow the instructions found here ("Set up email using the iOS Mail app").
Note: When prompted to enter your email address, enter your username followed by "@gatech.edu." For example, "gburdell3@gatech.edu". Use this even if you have created a customized email address such as "george.burdell@gatech.edu".
Android
Follow the instructions found here ("Set up email in Android email app").

The recommended method for accessing your Georgia Tech Office 365 Mailbox on your personal computer is to use the Outlook desktop client. If you are on a shared computer such as a library terminal or friend's computer, you should use the Outlook Web App client.
Outlook Desktop Client
The Outlook Desktop Client is included in the installation of the Office 365 suite of applications. Installation instructions for the Office suite can be found here.
Setup is fairly straightforward when using the desktop client. Follow the instructions found here.
Outlook Web App
When using a shared computer such as a library terminal or friend's computer, you should always use the Outlook Web App to check your Office 365 mailbox.
You should now see your email in OWA. Any changes you make here will be automatically synchronized with any device that you have connected to your email account.
